The west coast of Anglesey, North Wales, on a sunny April afternoon and it's just about warm enough to do wthout a coat, but the fleece is still very much in evidence.
Good job my wife Liz and I aren't here to sunbathe then, but rather to spend a couple of hours hiking the coastal path and walking along the shoreline at low tide at one of our favourite places on planet earth.
This is Church Bay (or Porth Swtan in the original welsh), a glorious combination of golden sand, honey coloured cliffs, rock pools and fascinating geology, all swept clean twice a day by the tidal action of the Irish Sea.
We've pretty much got the whole place to ourselves as we make our way from one end of the bay to the other, with me stopping every few paces to take yet another photo of a strategically placed rock in the low angled light of the late afternoon sun.
This particular rock was very well positioned, sitting in a pool of still water with those golden cliffs reflecting in the nearby wet sand.
I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon, or a better place to spend it at.

Filters - 2 stop neutral density graduated filter used to reduce the brightness of the sky and cliffs.
