Early August and summer is well established on the North Wales coast, and at a latitude of 53°N the sky retains some light all night long.
Which is great for amazing twilight photography, but a bit rough if you need sleep during the summer months!
Anyhow, my wife Liz and I took advantage of the late evening light to spend a Friday afternoon and evening enjoying the beautiful coastlines on the Isle of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast.
We ended our time on Anglesey that day overlooking Church Bay on the west coast, with a dramatic twilight display of colours as the wispy high cirrus clouds caught the last of the rays from the sun, now well below the horizon.
With a high tide the sandy beach was covered, so instead we watched the view from on top of the cliffs, which is where I captured this image overlooking the bay with its semi-submerged rocks glowing blue in the cool tones of the coming night.

Exposure - 30 secs @ f8, ISO100
Filters - 2 stop neutral density graduated filter used to reduce the brightness of the sky.
Location - Church Bay (Porth Swtan), Anglesey, North Wales
Image enhancements - Adobe Lightroom
Comments - Tripod, remote release and mirror lockup used to prevent camera movement.
