The story behind this image

This photo of the Little Orme at Llandudno on the North Wales coast shows off one of my favourite lighting conditions, with a heavy sky hanging over a sunlit landscape.

This combination of light and dark only happens rarely, usually on the edge of a weather system or clearing storm, and my photographic pulse quickens every time I experience it.

Of course, to make an image with impact you need a great subject as well as great light, and fortunately for me the North Wales coast is chock full of dramatic scenery to enjoy and photograph.
