What a beautiful evening!
I photographed this view of Llandudno bay at dusk from the top of the Little Orme, looking west towards the Great Orme at the far end of the bay.
I'd been in place taking photos for about two hours before this chosen image was captured. The reason being that I was shooting stills (one every thirty seconds) to make a timelapse video of sunset and dusk over the town which you can see here.
The great thing was that I was shooting RAW files, with the same sort of discipline that I normally apply to stand alone still images, so every one of the 400 odd photos that I took to make my video had the potential to be a polished image in its own right, rather than a compromised JPEG.
I chose this particular shot because of the balance of light between the sky and foreground, and the blend of colour temperatures from cool blue in the twilight sky to warm orange from the sodium streetlights.
So now I've got two momentos of my evening's vigil on the Little Orme, both video and still image. Nice.
