Standing on the summit of the Great Orme at Llandudno at sunset, one is spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful views.
My wife Liz and I park up here for walks quite often, enjoying the views and the fresh air, but this afternoon was especially lovely as there was a clear sky sunset which is quite rare. Normally there's a bank of cloud on the western horizon which puts paid to watching the sun sink into the sea.
The clear sky to the west meant that there was glorious golden light spilling across the landscape right up to the very point when the sun disappeared. This is one of the sorts of light I love, as it both reveals the landscape's texture and gives a welcoming warm glow to everything it touches.
I took this stitched panoramic image of part of the view from the top of the Great Orme just a few minutes before sunset. The light was just at its best and it was a delight to be there to experience such beauty.
