Sitting on the edge of the Little Orme, overlooking Llandudno on the North Wales coast sipping coffee while the evening fades into night at the end of a beautiful day - what could be better?
I'm sharing this experience with my wife Liz, having enthused her about the view from my previous dawn panorama taken from this exact same spot a few weeks ago, but while she relaxes I'm a blur of activity, shooting numerous shots of the bay for subsequent stitching.
As the light changes so quickly at this time of day I have to be really quick in taking each series of shots, or the light levels at the edges of each exposure will be different and spoil the effect when blended later in Photoshop.
We must have spent a couple of hours up on that headland as I blasted though memory cards, anticipating the perfect balance of skylight and streetlight, but it didn't feel like it to me. How it felt to Liz was another matter - but we won't go into that!
Anyhow, here's the final result after blending and enhancing - well worth the effort to my way of thinking.
