The area around the town of Conway on the North Wales coast has so much beautiful stuff to see and photograph it's hard sometimes to know where to point your camera!
But on this particular evening in late June 2017 there was no problem in deciding what to photograph while standing on the bridge over the Conwy Estuary, as the sky to the northwest was ablaze with light and colour from the just set sun, turning the horizon a brilliant orange.
The still waters of the estuary below me were reflecting the colours in the sky while, at low tide, the exposed sandbanks puncuated the foreground with lines of inky blackness.
To complete the loveliness were a dozen or so small yachts, moored out near the sea and adding a speckle of extra interest to the scene.
Evenings like this don't come around very often, and I'm glad I was in a position to witness and photograph such a majestic display of God's clockwork in action.
