During our two week holiday in September 2019, spent touring around the beautiful countryside and coastlines of Devon and Cornwall, my wife Liz and I headed south for a day to explore some of the old fishing villages and towns on the south coast.
Our first port of call was Looe, remembered by Liz and one of her parent's favourite holiday locations, and on arrival we could see why.
Filling the valley along the banks of the Looe river as it empties into the English Channel, the riverside promenade, with its fishing wharves mixed with cafés and pastie shops, was absolutely charming and a visual treat to boot.
So we ended up spending a couple of hours here, mooching along the banks of the river to the harbour mouth and back, with me taking photos and videos of the many eye catching views on offer.
Towards the end of our stay at Looe we strolled out along the coastal path beyond the harbour mouth a little way, where I photographed this view overlooking the rocky coastline of the English Channel, complete with a couple of moored boats for added interest.
