During our two week holiday in September 2019, spent touring around the beautiful countryside and coastlines of Devon and Cornwall, my wife Liz and I headed south for a day to explore some of the old fishing villages and towns on the south coast.
Our first port of call was Looe, remembered by Liz and one of her parent's favourite holiday locations, and on arrival we could see why.
Filling the valley along the banks of the Looe river as it empties into the English Channel, the riverside promenade, with its fishing wharves mixed with cafés and pastie shops, was absolutely charming and a visual treat to boot.
So we ended up spending a couple of hours here, mooching along the banks of the river to the harbour mouth and back, with me taking photos and videos of the many eye catching views on offer.
This panoramic collage shows the view looking inland from the stone arch roadbridge that crosses the river Looe at the neck of the harbour.
This image just wouldn't have worked without those wonderful cumulus clouds floating by, adding interest to an otherwidse drab blue sky.
