The north coast of Crete in the Mediterranean Sea is the most heavily developed part of the island, but it's still possible to find relatively unspoilt seaside villages and shoreline
We have one of the hosts at our resort to thank for advising us to visit Milatos, just a half hour drive from where we were staying near Hersonissos.
Milatos proved to be a lovely place, and we ended up here two or three times during our two week stay on the island in order to catch the sunset and to enjoy eating in the restaurants along the shoreline.
The pebbles on the beach obviously provided endless hours of enjoyment, as there were several of these balanced pebble towers dotted around, with this one being the most impressive.
