During our two week explore around the eastern half of the Mediterranean island of Crete in September 2017 my wife Liz and I made only one visit to most of the places we saw.
However, there were just a few locations that we made two or three visits to, as they were so lovely.
The seaside village of Mochlos, on the northeastern coast, was one such place.
A relatively undeveloped spot, right by the sea, with lovely views both around the seafront and out towards a small island just offshore, dotted with Minoan ruins.
This photo was taken during our final visit to Mochlos, with actual clouds in the sky for once, and shows a lovely relaxed view out over one of the small seafront restaurants that dotted the tiny bay.
Nothing shouts 'holiday' more than this!
