I'm no wildlife photographer, but if I'm presented with an interesting subject in good light then I'll have a go.
I was killing time on the terrace of the surreal Homo Sapiens museum near Kera on the Mediterranean island of Crete while my wife Liz was shopping for little gifts in the obligatory souvenir shop.
Overhead in the clear blue sky was a flock of mean looking ravens, which were soaring on the updraughts on the mountain slopes.
Every now and then one of the birds would do a flypast right in front of me, so I strapped on my 100-400mm zoom and had a practise at photographing a fast moving subject - not something I normally do but what's life without a little variety!?
I took about a dozen frames all told, with this one being the best in terms of showing off the bird's plumage catching the sunlight as it shot by me.
