According to our travel guide, the Krka National Park was one of the must see places in Croatia, so my wife Liz and I set aside a day to spend there during our week long holiday.
Following a boat ride into the park, we were soon strolling around, taking in the lovely scenery along with a few thousand other locals and tourists.
It was a very hot day, so we weren't surprised to find the Krka river below the Skradinski Buk waterfalls full of families enjoying the cooling waters in the shallows.
We didn't indulge in a dip at that point, but instead made our way slowly upwards along the path that takes one past the series of falls as the river tumbles down a wooded gorge.
The scenery was absolutely lovely and we stopped regularly to admire the view and take a few photos.
Plus, sitting in ther shade and drinking iced tea helped!
