One of the things I really enjoy while on holiday in foreign lands is to drive the small roads either along the coastline or up into the mountains.
And I found one of the most spectacular mountain drives just inland from Makarska in Croatia, on a toll road leading right up from sea level to the summit of the Sveti Jure, the second highest mountain in Croatia.
Not only was the drive stunning, but the views from the top were amazing, looking out over the limestone landscape all the way back to the Adriatic.
Perched right on top of Sveti Jura was this huge radio mast, pictured here, which made for quite an imposing image in its own right.
And the mobile signal was really good too!
