These are the famous Dark Hedges, allegedly one of the most photographed site in Northern Ireland and feature in the TV adaptation of 'Game of Thrones'.
So while holidaying in County Antrim I couldn't really avoid a trip there and a few photos could I?
Liz and I got there in the early afternoon on a very pleasant summer's day and everything looked very 'nice', which wasn't the feel I wanted to convey in a photo. After all, the name 'Dark Hedges' should conjure up a feeling of menace and foreboding, not of a pleasant afternoon's stroll in the sun.
So this image presented here has, of course, been heavily breathed upon in PhotoShop to bring out the correct ambiance.
A few other photographers have been cloned out as well.
