One of the most visually impressive aspects of the old town of Dubrovnik on the Croatian coast are its massive city walls.
Lit by the midday sun the walls become a fascinating abstract arrangement of angles, light and shadow, textures and details, all ready to be photographed.
Fortunately for me, this is one type of scenery that looks good in stark light, with a conversion to monochrome used to emphasise the tonality of the scene.
