Tucked away out of sight down a steep footpath is the wonderful Fairy Glen, just on the outskirts of Betws-y-Coed in the Snowdonia National Park.
In fact, it's so hard to find it doesn't even appear on google maps (yet), and you have to rely on actually knowing where it is in order to find it!
I've only ever visited here twice, and both times been entranced by the feeling of stepping into another world - sort of a 'land that time forgot' experience.
Of course, it's a dream world for a landscape photographer, and I must have spent about an hour photographing here, perched on a rock in the middle of the river as Liz waited patiently on the path for me to finally run out of inspiration.
I stopped photographing eventually, but I reckon there's still more magic to be found here, so I'll be back.
