No matter where you go in Florence, the huge Duomo dominates the skyline and draws your eye with its superb red tiled dome roof.
Liz and I paused on our tour around Florence for an ice cream at the tea shop in the Bardini Gardens to the south of the river Arno, only to be greeted by this overview of the city featuring, of course, the Duomo, picked out against the dark hills by a shaft of hazy Autumn sunlight.
Needless to say our stay at the tea shop got extended as we drank in the scene laid out before us, and took a few photos of course!.
