Tired out after a hard day's culture viewing around Florence's Pitti Palace, I took my ease on a convenient bench, only to be confronted by this beautifully detailed, ornate piller, backed by wonderfully detailed wall frescoes just tucked away in the corner of a courtyard.
So while Liz checked out the antiquities in an adjacent gallery, I took a few photos of the scene in front of me, trying out various composotions so see which arrangement of pillar and walls worked the best.
In the end this symmetrical arrangement pleased me the most, so here it is.
