My wife Liz and I spent a lovely, if somewhat exhausting, day exploring the Pitti Palace and its attached Boboli Gardens during our Autumn break in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy.
Although the palace was nice, it was the gardens that really attracted us, with quaint architectural features such as this decaying tower seemingly around every corner.
The warmth of the Tuscan colours, combined with the genteel dilapidation of the stonework, was just too good to pass by without taking a photo.
