Fortunately for me my wife Liz likes gardening, a pastime that leaves me cold except for admiring and photographing the end results!
So in spring and summer I'm often found wandering around the flowerbeds, camera in hand, seeing what's in bloom today.
The striking colour contrast of the flower, with its bright pink petals and vivid yellow anthers set against a green background was just too eye-catching to pass by without a photo.
