The offshore turbines of the Gwynt-y-Môr windfarm in Colwyn Bay, just off the North Wales coast, formed a suitably epic backdrop against which to capture the first full moon of 2020 (known as a 'Wolf Moon') as it rose majestically above the horizon of the Irish Sea.
I had positioned myself and my camera, fitted with my longest lens, in one of the shelters on the North Shore promenade at Llandudno, trying to keep my set up as stable as possible out of the fitful breezes as I took the hundreds of frames needed to create my Windfarm Moonrise Timelapse #1 video.
In the end the time lapse shoot proved to be somewhat short lived as the moon disappeared into low cloud shortly after having risen, and I selected this frame with moon in its highest position before starting to vanish to present as a standalone image.
