When Liz and I visited the home of Claude Monet, one of the foremost impressionist painters of the nineteenth century, during our stay in Normandy, I had no intention of trying to deliberatly copy his paintings in any of the photographs that I took while there.
But guess what? That's just what I ended up doing in quite a few of my favourite shots.
Not on purpose of course, but I guess that a pleasing composition of line and colour will appeal as much to a photographer as it would to a nineteenth century impressionist.
See if you can spot the similarities between my photo and post processing of this image of one of the flower beds in Monet's garden, and Monet's work entitled Pathway In Monets Garden At Giverny.
