As far as resort developments go, Amadores on the south coast of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands is one of the nicer examples.
At least my wife Liz and I thought so after spending a few hours here on a couple of occasions during our week long stay on the island.
The main attraction at Amadores is the palm tree lined beach and enclosed bay, great for swimming and with the most beautifully coloured shallow turquoise water.
And it was those colours that attracted my photographic eye, resulting in this panoramic collage encompassing the whole of the bay on a lovely sunny afternoon, taken from an elevated viewpoint on a grass bank above the promenade.
