When on holiday, my wife Liz and I rarely visit the same spot twice, but for the small town of La Garita on the Atlantic coast of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands we made an exception.
This fascinating stretch of rugged volcanic coastline is relatively undeveloped and free of tourists, a fact which is reflected in the very reasonable prices in the seaside café where we stopped for a pizza.
But pizzas aside, the shoreline is just fascinating and very dramatic, a photographer's dream in fact.
This image shows the most well known coastal feature in this region, the El Bufadero pool, which is connected to the sea via an underwater tunnel through which the water rises and falls with the Atlantic wave action.
But I didn't just take still photographs of this feature, but I also shot a real time video and a time lapse video showing the rise and fall of the water in the Bufadero.
