Heading north from Maspalomas on the GC-60, one of the great interior mountain roads on the Seychelle island of Gran Canaria, Liz and I stopped to admire the view from the Degollada de La Yegua viewpoint.
Looking out over the nature reserve, we couldn't help but notice just how dry and brown it all looked after a winter with no rain.
But even in its dried out state, the view out over the hills and valleys was still mightily impressive, and well worth the effort of setting up camera and tripod, much to the amusement of the other iphone wielding tourists snapping away by my side, to shoot the stills for this panoramic stitch.
The field of view shown here is just under a full 180 degrees, and this web jpeg, vastly reduced in resolution from the DNG original, hardly does justice to the level of detail visible in the original file.
Still, you do get a good sense of what the interior of Gran Canaria looks like, and I'm feeling warmed up on this cold Welsh February morning just by looking at it again.
