A week long winter break on Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands, off the Atlantic coast of Africa, was just what my wife Liz and I needed to chase away the February blues.
And of course, I couldn't let the opportunity to take a few photos pass me by, with such varied and interesting views to enjoy, both natural and man-made.
One of the nicest places to visit on the more developed south coast is Puerto de Mogan, retaining most of its original charm and well worth a walk around, camera in hand.
This panoramic collage is of the harbour, still a fishing port but now increasingly a playground for more lesiured nautical types.
