Normally when I'm photographing the beautiful North Wales coast my composition takes in the sweeping beaches, mountains and glorious skies that make this part of the world so special.
But every now and then I'll look at the view from a different perspective, taking in some smaller feature of the landscape that nevertheless conveys a seaside mood.
Such as these tall marram grass stalks by the side of the path at Llandudno west Shore, pictured here from a low viewpoint in silhouette against a glowing sunset sky.
Just as lovely and evocative as the grand view, but in a different, more intimate way.
