The story behind this image

Back to the beach at Llandulas, this time with a fixed purpose in mind. I wanted to make another image using the wonderfully manky old groynes that we'd found there on our last visit.

The sunset was much more colourful this time, and I used the difference in colour temperature between the warm orange sky and the cool blue shadows to create a visual tenison in the composition.

I left the groynes in sillhouette as a diagonal line leading through the image towards the sunset. A long shutter speed blurred the waves to add a sense of the dynamic to the image.
