This photo of the groynes at Llandulas, on the North Wales coast, was taken well after the sun had set.
The lack of light allowed me to use a long shutter speed to blur the waves and create a misty, ethereal effect with the groynes standing in sharp contrast to the rest of the scene.
This particular arrangement of groynes was very appealing to me, in that the single remaining cross piece provides a definate and distinctive focal point to the composition.
But guess what? On my next visit to Llandulas I found that this final cross piece had been swept away and I will no longer be able to use this feature in a photograph.
It just goes to show - nothing in this world is permanant, even if it may seem so at the time. So make the most of every opporunity to see beauty and create art.
