A beatuiful afternoon on the North Wales coast was rounded off for my wife Liz and myself with a stop at Llandulas as we drove back home along the A55.
In summertime the sun sets to the northwest so the north facing coast here is ideal to watch the sun dip below the horizon.
On this occasion I had my trusty old Canon 5D, with its glued back on reflex mirror still firmly in place after many thousands of exposures, securely mounted on my tripod and clicking away every two seconds recording a timelpase sequence of the sunset.
But the scene in front of me was equally stunning, with decaying groynes sticking out of the sea at high tide and the sun setting in the background.
Good job I had my little Nikon with me as well, as I was able to capture this view without having to disturb my timelapse sequence in mid flow - not something you want to do really.
So I was doubly blessed that evening, but only becasue I had an extra camera in the boot of the car.
