Living at a latitude of 53 degrees north I have the pleasure of seeing the sun rise and set in vastly different locations throughout the year.
In winter the sun rises in the southeast and sets in the southwest, while in summer the sun rises in the northeast and sets in the northwest.
This means I can photograph the same location under widely differing lighting conditions depending on when I'm there.
This particular view of sunset at Llandudno's West Shore on the North Wales coast only occurs around midsummer, and with the sun setting at around 9.45pm it's a late night out, but well worth the effort to see such a beautiful sight as the sun sinks over the Great Orme headland.
