Once you get away from the obvious tourist traps, the North Cornish coast has some real gems of little fishing villages scattered along its length.
This photograph is of Port Isaac, just a few miles north of Padstow, and found by Liz and myself during a weekend break with the help of good old Ordinance Survey.
For once the sun was actually shining and we enjoyed a great couple of hours just strolling around enjoying the warmth, the scenery, the relaxed atmosphere and the odd coffee or two.
As far as photography went, there were plenty of opportunities for pictures of olde worlde buildings and details, together with the grander view of the harbour wall shown here.
I wasn't in 'serious' photography mode on that day or I would have stayed there until sunset and beyond, but I was happy enough just wandering around taking snaps in whatever light was available at the time, and one or two turned out rather well.
