Looking north from the heather clad slopes of Foel Ffenli gives a stunning view towards the highest peak in the Clwydian range of mountains, Moel Famau.
Moel Famau is instantly recognisable from miles around thanks to the ruined tower on the summit, which was built to commemorate the jubilee of King George III.
This is a wonderful place to be on a crisp Autumn morning, with the sun just rising to the east, kissing the purple heathers and side lighting the slopes of Moel Famau in that soft golden light that landscape photographers love so well.
It's not just the sights that are so uplifting, there's the smell of the heather, the sound of grouse and kestrel in the air, and the feel of the first sunlight gently warming your waterprooofs.
I just can't fit all that into a photo, no matter how hard I try. You'll just have to experience it for yourselves.
