Another beautiful sunrise on the East Shore at Llandudno, on the North Wales coast.
What initially attracted me to this scene was the lovely, fan shaped cloud formation with its dappled underside just catching the first rays of the rising sun.
I had to move around a bit to get the clouds sitting just right over the promenade, with its façade of hotels and B&Bs glowing in the golden light.
The light quality only lasted a few minutes. As the sun rose higher the clouds lost their texture and the light reflecting off the buildings became harsh and white rather than soft and golden.
Yet another example of being in the right place at the right time, but there's been many a morning when the light just doesn't work. As with all worthwhile endeavours, perseverance pays off in the end.
