This happy seaside scene shows the East Shore and promenade at Llandudno on the North Wales coast.
Normally I don't photograph such busy compositions, preferring a more minimalist approach to landscape photography. But I just couldn't resist the brightly coloured boarding houses up on the flanks of the Great Orme. With the sweep of the beach leading the eye through the scene I think the elements in this photo work well together.
I held back on pressing the shutter release until the man walking towards me was in just the spot I wanted him. After all, a seaside photo isn't the same without people enjoying themselves.
