Most of the time Liz and I spend on Llandudno's West Shore we're looking out to sea, which is where the nice views are to be found.
However, on this occasion the action was happening inland, as a huge storm cloud loomed over the houses on the seafront, dramatically lit by the rays of a late afternoon sun.
The scene was so dramatic that I had to photograph it, with most of the frame being taken up with the amazing sky.
I left the houses just at the bottom of the frame, dwarfed by the approaching apocalypse, to give a sense of scale to the cloud and make a statement about the tenous nature of man's efforts when faced with the forces of nature.
A couple of minutes after I'd taken this photo the rain hit and we beat a hasty retreat back to the car for a much needed cup of coffee.
