A fortnight's holiday in the Italian Lakes gave my wife Liz and I plenty of opportunity to relax on the balcony of our apartment above the lakeside town of Varenna and just enjoy the views.
This image is typical of the scenery on offer, overlooking the centre of the lake (Centrol Lago) with cloud topped mountains and the town of Menaggio on the far shore shining in the sunlight.
And no hiking required to photograph the views!

Exposure - 1/125 sec @ f11, ISO100
Filters - 2 stop neutral density graduate filter used to balance the exposure between the sky and foreground.
Location - Centro Lago, Lake Como, Italy
Conversion - Adobe Lightroom
Comments - Tripod, mirror lockup and cable release used to prevent camera motion blur.
