As well as time spent exploring the larger lakes of Como and Garda in the mountains of northern Italy during our two week stay in this wonderful part of the world, my wife Liz and I also took a day to visit Lake Iseo.
Much smaller and less developed than Lake Como or Lake Garda, Lake Iseo proved to be a visual jewel of a place, with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains framing the azure waters.
This photo was taken at the small town of Tavernolo Bergamasca, with its quaint waterfront promenade and clock tower reflecting nicely in the rippled waters of the lake.
