During our two week stay in the Italian lakes my wife Liz and I took a day trip by train from Varenna, where we were staying, over to Milan for a look around courtesy of a friend and business colleague of mine who lives and works in the region.
Waiting at Varenna station for our ride, I spent the time photographing the Internord trains arriving and departing on the opposite platform.
Not your typical holiday scene, but a rather nice composition showing some 'real life', away from the tourist areas of Varenna.
