In the autumn of 2018 my wife Liz and I spent an amazing two weeks exploring the lakes and mountains of northern Italy.
For the last few days of our holiday we decamped from Lake Como and headed east to Lake Garda, which proved to be quite different in terms of landscape and development than Lake Como.
One thing that was similar however, were the wonderful roads and tunnels which made for great and exciting drives around the lakesides.
This tunnel is typical, and is on the road approaching Riva del Garda, a town right at the northern end of Lake Garda and a real gem of a place.
