The seaside town of Kinsale, in County Cork on the southwest coast of Ireland, proved to be a fascinating spot, full of olde worlde charm and visually very appealing.
But I struggled to find a suitable spot from which to photograph the marina and town until we drove out along one side of the harbour to a little spot called Summercove which is on the way to the famous Charles Fort, and is also the start of the Wild Atlantic Way.
The seafront car park gave me a lovely view back into the bay and town of Kinsale, and with a great pub called the Bulman Bar right next to us Liz and I decided this was definately the place to base ourselves for an evening's photography!
I decided to use the time here to full effect, starting with a meal in the pub and then out onto the sea wall to photograph the view, finishing off with a time lapse shoot showing dusk falling over Kinsale.
Now that's what I call a relaxed evening's photopgraphy - it's nice every now and then to be able to film in comfort.
