A pre-Christmas visit to see our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in Limerick, Ireland, ended with a few hours to spare before our flight home from Cork airport.
So my wife Liz and I decided to use the time to re-visit the seaside town of Kinsale, having spent a holiday here a couple of years ago.
The weather on the day of our visit was just stunning, with crisp December sunshine, not a cloud in the sky and flat calm conditions.
The enclosed harbour was just lovely, and I shot dozens of photos of the buildings and boats reflecting in the mirror-like water.
But we also spent some time exploring the town itself, coming across some really nice visual touches in the old shops and pubs hidden away down the backstreets.
This particular image features the old fashioned frontage of Kitty O'Se's traditional Irish Pub, captured in a rare moment when there weren't any people passing by.
