It's amazing what a a couple of hours in time and a change of viewpoint can produce.
While I was totally absorbed in photographing in another direction on ullswater, my wife Liz was on walkabout checking out other views on this beautiful body of water in the Lake District.
I was just finishing up for the evening and packing my camera away when a 'come and look at this' cry reached my ears and on further investigation it seemed that Liz had found a scene that had completely passed me by when we first arrived at this location.
In that time the sun had dropped to the point where what was once uninteresting grey cloud was now glowing a glorious pink, and the ruffled waters of the lake had calmed to allow a reflection of the sky.
Needless to say, my camera got upacked once again and a few more minutes were spent capturing this scene as well.
It just goes to show, you never know what an hour or two and a change of viewpoint will bring. Combined with a wife with a very good eye of course!
