A rare sunny afternoon in Snowdonia gave Liz and I the excuse we needed to jump in the car and visit some of our favourite locations.
One place we seem drawn to time and again is the Ogwen valley.
With the iconic peaks of Pen-yr-Olwen, Tryfan and Y Garn surrounding the lake, together with the Glyderau ridge, rivers, big waterfalls and woodland all within walking distance, this is a stunning place.
Of course, in the usual rain it can get quite miserable, but add a bit of sun and the whole experience is transformed into one of wonder at the sheer beauty on display.
Where else could you want to be?
