Have you ever noticed that the closer you look at something, the more interesting and beautiful it becomes?
Of course, our human eyes are limited in how close they can focus, which is where macro and micro photography is so great - opening up new, tiny worlds for us to explore.
This fresh spring leaf, for example, was just hanging on a bush in my garden along with dozens of others and I'd passed it by on numerous occasions without a second glance.
But with a macro set up of prime lens and extension tubes a simple leaf becomes a thing of great intricacy and delicacy when looked at through the viewfinder of my camera.
A minature testimony to God's wisdom and love, that such an everyday thing as a garden leaf should be so lovely.
Now I wonder what it would look like under a microscope?
