It's funny how some subjects and places come to define a photographer's style.
For me, I'm drawn to the coast and for some reason, I just love to photograph lighthouses. Just as well that I don't live in Birmingham!
I consider myself truly blessed to live instead in North Wales, with locations like this at Penmon Point on the island of Anglesey within relatively easy reach.
I don't consider this particular photo to be fantastically dramatic, there's no storm clouds, clashing waves, lightning or anything like like that. It's just a nicely lit image of a peaceful spot that means a lot to me, and every time I look at it I can imagine myself back there enjoying the sea breeze, the warm sun (that might be a stretch of the imagination!), the smell of the seaweed and the cry of the gulls.
I hope you get the chance soon to visit one of your special places, and maybe take a photo to remind you of what it's like being there.
