Beaches are wonderfully dynamic environments, never the same one day to the next.
My wife Liz and I visit the beach at Talacre regularly, enjoying walks along the sand and looking at the ever changing views.
This photo was taken just after the big storm at Christmas 2013, and although I've stood in this spot many times in the past there's never been a layer of pebbles here before.
Maybe after the next storm the pebbles will have moved on and we'll be back to sand again, but while they're in place they make for a lovely bit of foreground interest for this image of the abandoned Point of Ayr lightouse.
