This is Talacre beach and lighthouse following the Christmas 2013 winter storms and high tides.
I'm glad to say the lighthouse weathered the storm, although the paintwork looks pretty battered and the famous stainless steel sculpture called 'The Keeper', usually perched on top, was nowhere to be seen.
I hope it was removed prior to the storm, and not blown out to sea. Anyone able to help me with this?
Anyhow, I took this photo at last light, and with another storm blowing in across the Irish Sea the sky and the lighthouse both looked very dramatic.
My wife Liz and I got back to the car just as the first fat drops of rain started falling. Good timing for once!
