A lowering winter's sun casts its golden beams over the cliffs and lighthouse at South Stack on the beautiful island of Anglesey as I do battle with my tripod and camera in the teeth of a howling gale that's covering us in spray blown up two hundred feet from the sea below.
Still, it's worth a soaking to be able to see and photograph sights as lovely as this one, and you don't often get direct sunlight at this time of the day around here.
That low sun is working its magic, turning the pale yellow sandstone and shale rocks into a glowing edifice that slowly fades to grey as the sun finally sinks to its rest for another day and Liz and I head home, all the richer for having been here.
